3 years into Siebel and I didn’t know till few days back, that you can create List of Values records in Siebel Tools and they get reflected in Siebel Application. I know this might be surprising for many but that is the truth. Here are the steps to do it.
- Open Siebel Tools
- Click on Screen > System Administration > List Of Values option
(as shown below)
You will see a screen which looks very similar to List Of Values View you see in Application.
You can create List of Values here by following the steps in this post and it will be reflected Application depending on data source you have logged in.
Now no need to login to application to create List Of Values while creating PickLists.

I got a question for you. If I create LOV via tool which connect to a local database how can I sync it back to the server?

Thank you for the quick reply. I understand what you saying. However, usually we do configration using tools connect to local database. If I create new LOV on server, how can I sync the new LOV to the tool’s local database?
Addng to Kevin, How do I migrate to different environments, is this through SRF Migration?
LOV migration between environments is only possible in 2 ways.
Application Deployment Manager (ADM)
Manually
And Kevin the only way to sync it to local is create them manually in Local Enviornment
