Few days ago a user of our application suddenly started getting error while going to a particular screen.
”An error has occurred setting the query specification. Please execute another query or ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration if the problem persists.(SBL-DAT-00313)”
No other user was facing this problem. It was quite apparent that there is error in query which is getting executed when user is trying to open that screen. As, no other user were facing this problem this error couldn’t be in search specification defined at BC or Applet level.
There was only one place left “Predefined Queries” and sure enough when I went to “Administration – Predefine Queries” Screen and queried for that user id in “Owner” field I was able to find a Private PDQ by that user name which was referring to a wrong field name. This field had been marked inactive at BC level in our previous release (which had happened a few days ago). I fixed that PDQ and the problem was gone.
There is an SR in metalink which talks about similar problem and same solution.
