I have received several queries and emails where people have said that they would like to post certain things in Siebel Unleashed Forum but they don’t know how?

I have already explained earlier why using Siebel Unleashed Forum to post problems is a better idea then sending them in email to me or putting it in comments of some post. So, here is tutorial explaining the basics like how to register, how to post a new topic and how to reply to the topic.

How to Register on the Forum?

• Go to http://forum.siebelunleashed.com.
• You will see a login form and a link to register for forum on the Top Left Corner of the screen (Show below)
• Click on register link and you will see a Registration Form. Enter the details and click on Register button.

How to Post a New Topic?

• Login to the forum using your registered username and password
• Choose the Board according to kind of query you have. Posting in the correct board is very important if you would like to get quick reply. For example if you have query regarding Workflows then choose “Siebel Workflow” as your board, for scripting “Siebel Scripting” is the correct board. Click on the board name.
• Click on New Topic link on the Top Right side of screen
• Enter the subject and the detail of the problem you have in the form that you see. (You can make it interesting by using various smilies)
• You can also attach files (screen shot, log files) providing detail of your problem using Additional options link just below the description form
• Click on Preview if you would like to preview it before posting or Click on Post to actually post it.

How to Post a Reply?

Posting a reply is pretty similar to posting a new topic. The only difference being you actually go to an existing topic

and if you think you can help by replying then you click on the Reply link present in Top Right side of the screen
