High Interactivity Framework has been really a source of lot of problems in Siebel and it is difficult to debug the problems cause by it because it resides outside Siebel. Some of the reasons for High Interactivity Framework to get corrupted are
- Different version of jar files reside on same PC
- Accessing different instances of application from same system
- Having multiple JRE versions instances on same system
The basic process to reinstall the High Interactivity Framework has been described in the following post. But in this post I am going to discuss about another problem in which High Interactivity Framework doesn’t get installed and you receive the error shown below
Problem:
While opening Siebel you receive the following error message and you are unable to open the application
Solution:
The solution is to grant Administrator Rights to the user.
The reason for this error is that High Interactivity Framework cannot be installed because of insufficient permissions. As soon as you grant the user Administrator rights High Interactivity Framework is successfully installed.

another possible option is to add the Siebel site to the list of trusted sites and make sure that the trusted sites security level is low.
Another option is to have an Admin log onto the PC:
1. Someone with Admin rights needs to log onto the workstation.
2. Open up IE and click on Tools_Internet Options…
3. On the General Tab, Temporary Internet files section, click on the [Settings] button
4. On the Settings dialog box, click on the [View Objects...] button.
5. A list of files will appear, delete any “Siebel High Interactivity Framework” entries.
6. Click [Yes] for confirmation of deletion.
7. Close Window
8. Click on OK (twice)
9. Then get the user to log into UI using their own username & password, while Admin logged into workstation.
10. The files will then be brought down onto the users workstation.
11. Get the user to log out of UI.
12. Log out of users workstation and get the user to log in again.
Where can I find the latest Siebel AxtiveX files?
Eg inf and dll
Installing with admin rights is fair enough.
But in my environment its unacceptible. is there anyway to install this with out admin rights,
using Active directory or group policy.
Ive yet to find an MSI installet package to facilitate this. And i have undergone close to 20 high interactivy framework updates, and installing it on 200 pcs manually everytime is getting tiresome.
