Generic SSA NOTOK error message.(SBL-DAT-00472)

While working on CR (Change Request) I had to use a field in the script.

The Script was something like

var AgreeBO = TheApplication().GetBusObject(“Service Agreement”);
var AgreeBC = AgreeBO.GetBusComp(“Service Agreement”);

var OrderType = “”;

  with(AgreeBC)
      {
         ActivateField(“Oppty Order Type”)
         ClearToQuery();
         SetViewMode(3);
         SetSearchSpec(“Id”,AgreeId);
         ExecuteQuery();
         if(FirstRecord())
         {
            OrderType = GetFieldValue(“Oppty Order Type”);
       }

AgreeBO = null;
AgreeBC = null;

There is nothing unusual in the Script but when I executed this script I got the following error

Generic SSA NOTOK error message.(SBL-DAT-00472)

Now after a bit of playing with the code I came to know that following line of code was the reason for this error

OrderType = GetFieldValue(“Oppty Order Type”);

This Field “Oppty Order Type” was a joined field from Opportunity. The join was not new it was an old join and there are several fields that were being pulled from this join.

I am yet to do the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of this error but the following things are quite clear

  • It was an error due to Configuration problem
  • There is an error in the field or the join.

I haven’t tried various alternatives like deleting the field and recreating it again. What I did was not to use this field but to use the actual field in Opportunity BC. But will keep you posted whatever I find out.

And in case if any of you have faced this kind of error before. Please share with us all.

Happy Reading 🙂

  1. I think this error occurs, when For join fields, there is already present the inner join, but duing configuration we have created new join and implement the same. I hope this will give fair bit of idea…

  5. Hi Piyush,

    even we had encountered this error many times, the root cause of this issue is the runtime events which gets created as part of simulation..

  6. Did you find the root cause for this issue? Iam also trying to do the same thing but its giving me that error. Let me know if you have already resolved this issue.

  7. Hi,

    I got this error message too trying to use developer client with ESN language. Root cause were some LOV translations not active. Having the values (name of the service in the message error for example) active in both languages ENU and ESN solved the problem. Hope this help.

    Regards!

  8. I checked calculated values in BC. And found troubles there. Like ‘Enter’ instead “Space’ in the string. After changes all start working.
