In last post we theoretically discussed about Toggle Applets, now we will do some hands on. In this post we will discuss how to create a Static Toggle Applet.

In this example we would want user to be able to toggle between Form and List Applet in Account Screen. By default user is able to see Account List Applet (see below) and we will allow toggling between Form and List Applet.

AccountListApplet

Here are the steps to configure Static Toggle Applet:

  • Query for Account List Applet
  • Select Applet Toggle Object
    AppletToggleObject
  • Create a new Record in Applet Toggle List Applet with following detail:
    Applet: Account Form Applet
    Sequence: 1
    StaticToggleAppletRecord
  • Compile the Applet

And you are done. You should be able to see a dropdown on the List Applet and when you select the Form Applet from dropdown you will see the Account Form Applet.

AccountToggleDropdown

Note: Value in the Applet Title field (see image below) becomes the value of the dropdown. So, you can change the title to display whatever you want to show in dropdown. In this example I changed it Account Form Applet and Account List Applet for Form and List Applet respectively.
